Taiwan Artist Pao-Leng Kung

Pao-Leng Kung is a Taiwan artist living in Londen. She’s currently doing her Masters in Painting at the Royal College of Art. In her work process she magnifies elements, such as the erasing of color, the relationship between positive en negative spaces and the space inside and outside the canvas.
She says: ‘The colors and stripes serve as multiple roles within complicatedly interactive layers and transition between positive/negative spaces. They are the main body that constructs the base for the whole picture, while they are too supporting roles that step by step build up the existence of negative space.’
We think it’s interesting work that deserves a platform. Enjoy!
